Irazú Hotel & Studios

First of all, the staff here, especially the reception team, were excellent and very accommodating. The location is excellent, as the Holiday Inn next door is a great location for tours to pick you up, and the 24x7 Denny's was a perfect place for an American to get a little homey experience. There is an also a sports bar next door, and they have okay food and drinks at reasonable prices. The balcony was a nice addition, good for drying wet clothes as the weather wasn't that conducive to sitting outside when we were in San Jose. Maid service was dependable and efficient.

Nice pool, the staff was helpful and willing to assist, loved the nature and the garden around the pool area.

The pool and surrounding area is very nice. There was a laundry facility available which was very appreciated ($1.50 for washer, same for dryer). The room was nice, with a decent-sized terrace, fridge and microwave. There was a safe for passports, etc. Hot running water with good pressure. It was clean and we felt safe. The wifi was good. The breakfast was fine; fruit, eggs, beans and rice, some sausage. Overall, I would consider staying here again.
